Twelve drumfish drumming
Eleven stripers eeling
Ten kings a leaping
Nine oysters setting
Eight trout a milting
Seven shad migrating
Six salmon spawning
Five dor-a-do
Four arctic char
Three tautog
Two cuttlefish
And a clam bed in the wind’s lee
