Books Are the Best Gifts

You could worry about what to buy or just buy a book

Books are the sweet spot of holiday gifts. Music used to be, but let’s face it, with Spotify and its ilk having destroyed the retail music business no one is going to go out and buy a record for someone nowadays. For sweaters you need embarrassing measurements. Socks are too cheap. Any piece of crap from Etsy or China is too impersonal.

But books! What books say is, “I know you. I know the things that concern you. I want to give you hours of quiet pleasure.”

So toward that end, on the chance that any of your friends or relatives might be interested in one of my books here are some links to make things easier.
